Animals can improve your social skills and physical health, but did you know that they are also good for your mental health? It is becoming increasingly popular for animals to be used as part of therapy and throughout addiction rehabilitation, known as zootherapy. Zootherapy is a process in which an animal acts as a link between the therapist and the person with difficulties. The animal helps to make progress towards the person’s goals.
