Stuffable toys are a major part of any dog’s life. Well they should be. They present a great opportunity for our dogs to learn many self-rewarding behaviours whilst having a good workout. They fall into the category of food-based enrichment but your dog is also experiencing cognitive, sensory and environmental enrichment. Stuffables are a great canine enrichment activity.
This quick and easy recipe is great for when you have to give your dog medicine in pill form. You can whip up a batch with 3 simple ingredients and store them in the fridge ready to use. Great for dogs who have gluten intolerance. If your dog doesn’t like peanut butter, then why not swap it for liver pate?
Carrots have many benefits for your dog and what better way to include them in their diet than in some crummy biscuit treats? This quick bake carrot dog biscuit recipe uses your dogs existing dog food as part of the ingredients to add extra flavour without adding sugar and other nasties. In just 1/2 an hour you can whip up a batch and keep them in an airtight container for up to three months. We’ve used a bone shaped cookie cutter to make big biscuits, as well as using a knife to make some smaller treat sized squares.

Wondering what to do with a leftover turkey carcass? Why not turn it into bone broth for your dogs! Turkey carcass bone broth is one of my favourite recipes.
