Pretty Christmas Rope Vase – ideal gift

I love this simple creative project which brings a little Christmas cheer to any room. Makes a brilliant present too. And of course, you can use the vase all year round.

A pretty decorative vase to brighten your home this Christmas

Materials

  • 1 block of floral foam
  • 1 large fish bowl vase
  • 2 Nautical ropes
  • Glue gun
  • 4-5 mini glue sticks
  • 2 Holiday floral picks
  • 1 Eucalyptus bunch

Instructions

  1. Take the black pieces of tape off of the nautical rope.
  2. Using your glue gun start with a small section of glue on the bottom edge of the fishbowl vase, glue around the bottom edge and place the nautical rope on top of the glue.IMG 2620
  3. Continue this process making sure that the there are no spaces in between the ropes until the rope is done. IMG 2621IMG 2622
  4. Add the next rope and continue until you reach the top of the vase.IMG 2623IMG 2627
  5. Trim the end and glue. IMG 2628
  6. Try making sure that you end where the other pieces ended so that you have a clean finish. IMG 2629
  7. Place the floral foam block into the vase. IMG 2630
  8. Cut the eucalyptus bunch into smaller pieces and add the eucalyptus around the edges . IMG 2676
  9. Do the same with the floral pick from Joann (I just cut the paper part and it divided into pieces). IMG 2631

Notes

Most supplies can be found in Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl and the Range.

You can forage for greenery on your walks there are plenty of things in the hedgerows tht you can pop in your new vase.
